What this does
Cuts a long video down to the bit that matters. Drop the file in, drag two handles to mark the start and end, and save just that piece.
The original is left alone; you get a new file containing only the section you chose.
How to use it

Two ways to cut, and why it matters
Leave the quality on Original and the video is not rebuilt at all: the piece is lifted out as-is. That is very fast and loses nothing, but the cut can land slightly off, because it has to snap to the nearest keyframe, which is a full picture the video stores every so often.
Choose exact cutting and the clip is rebuilt frame by frame. You get the precise moment you asked for, but it takes longer and loses a little quality.
- Rough cut of a long recording: leave it on Original. Fast, and a second either way does not matter.
- Catching an exact moment, or a short clip for social: use exact cutting.
Which browser to use
Chrome or Edge are recommended, because rebuilding a video uses a browser feature those support best. Other browsers can still do the fast copy mode.
Your privacy
Your video never leaves your device. Everything happens inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored on a server.
Common questions
Why is my cut slightly off?
On the fast setting the cut snaps to the nearest keyframe, which can be a second or so away. Turn on exact cutting for a precise edit.
How long does exporting take?
The fast copy mode is close to instant. Exact cutting has to rebuild the clip, so allow a while for a long one.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, though a phone is slower at rebuilding video and large files may strain its memory.
Can I cut out a middle section and join the ends?
No. This keeps one continuous piece. Export the two parts separately if you need both.
